Hints for your CV
Your CV is your only chance to make an initial first impression on a Recruiter or a Client and may be your only chance of securing an interview. Therefore, it is vitally important that it works for you and not against you.
View your CV as a sales tool, it needs to emphasise your suitability for the roles you are applying for. You need to ensure your CV is interesting and never boring. Our Consultants would be happy to give any advice you require on your CV and its contents.
Make sure you target your CV for the role you are applying for, highlight your experience and qualities relevant to that job.
Keep your CV short and to the point. Use a bullet point style as this is the easiest form for the Consultants and employers to read.
Most importantly, make sure your CV does not have any typing or grammatical errors, as this may result in immediate rejection of your CV. Although we do check your CV’s and they are sent to clients in a standard format, we would question someone who cannot be bothered to check their own work before sending it to us. Get someone to read over your CV, as a fresh pair of eyes will often spot the most deliberate mistakes.

Start with most recent Employer first and work backwards, finishing with your school leaving dates. Ensure you account for any gaps in your employment record. A majority of employers are most interested in the last three years, so provide the most comprehensive details on those job descriptions, including any technologies and achievements etc.
