Electroplating Operator

£20,000 – £28,000

Our client are a market leading, global, interconnect specialist. They specialise in the design and manufacture of a diverse range of connectors and interconnect products for a highly demanding customer base in the Aerospace, Military and Industrial sectors.

Poised for further growth, and investment, they are now seeking to recruit two Electroplaters who will help deliver unrivalled levels of excellence.   The ideal applicants will be responsible for producing Electroplated and Metal Finished Parts to achieve the standards set out in the Company Policies, Procedures and Instructions. 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Reading and following all relevant documentation and carrying out various Plating processes to Company standards
  • Identifying and carrying out the correct method of jigging for a range of parts and/or wiring method
  • Following correct procedures for safe handling of chemicals within the Plating department
  • Understanding and adhering to the department and Company Health and Safety rules and procedures

Essential Qualities include:

  • GCSE, or equivalent, in English and Maths Grade C or above
  • Production experience working within an Electroplating Processing environment
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, manufacturing instructions, process instructions and specifications
  • Hardworking with the ability to stay focused
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality
