Infrastructure Manager





We are currently working with a MSP and due to continued growth they are now looking for an Infrastructure Manager to join them and help the business push on and ensure clients receive the high levels of service.


As the Infrastructure Manager they are looking for the right candidate to manage the Infrastructure Side of the business and also to work on Pre-sales to ensure the sales team are fully supported when delivering a solution to a client:


Infrastructure Responsibilities:


  • Take responsibility for the maintenance and management of the company’s Cloud platform and Data Centre estate
  • Collate and maintain up to date documentation on the systems and setup that constitute the company’s Cloud and Data Centre Setup
  • Work with the Technical Director to Monitor resource load by client in order to gain an insight into usage trends for capacity planning
  • On a quarterly basis, produce a roadmap (supported by statistics and data) for future growth and expansion and pass to Technical Director for budget planning
  • Monitoring of firmware and software version and management of updates in accordance with client maintenance windows
  • Ensure correct and most efficient packaging of services in conjunction with Technical Director and Managing Director
  • Maintain up to date with the latest technological developments and key infrastructure vendors to promote new products and services or complimentary technologies, either internally or for existing customer base
  • Work with Technical Director to coordinate upgrades to infrastructure, data centers and client services
  • Work with Technical Director and Managing Director to define on-boarding processes for the migration of new client contracts, including the assignment of required technical resources and implementing this within Autotask
  • Provide regular update training to the technical team around the technology, platform and complex customer setups
  • Work with the Technical Director to implement the highest levels of security across the company’s own Cloud infrastructure and hosted client systems


Pre-Sales Responsibilities:


  • When required to do so, work with the sales team on specific opportunities (including those generated through channel partners) to provide technical presence during commercial meetings
  • When asked to do so, work with the sales team to define and design the most suitable solution for each opportunity and when necessary, research alternatives or complimentary services to fill any shortfalls in our own offering
  • Work with Managing Director to deliver product training and updates on features and benefits to the sales team
  • Assist in updating and maintaining effective commercial documentation and diagrams for use in proposals, tender templates and marketing collateral
  • Maintain an up to date and efficient demo environment for client meetings and presentations
  • Work pro-actively with Managing Director and Sales Team to help progress existing opportunities and identify new ones within untapped markets or the existing customer base
  • Work with Managing Director and Technical Director to define and implement efficient handover of new contracts from sales to technical team, allowing flow of all details and special conditions
  • Develop and implement more efficient audit process and documentation and provide training to both sales and technical team on what it covers and when it’s to be used
