Mechanical Design Engineer/Design Manager

We are working with an established and market leading manufacturer and they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer/Manager. The ideal applicant will be fully immersed in the design process from initial conception, through to final production. This position is integral to the continued success of the organization, as they look to remain at the forefront of industry innovation.

They are looking for a machine designer with proven expertise in mechanical design (Solidworks) and some knowledge around control systems, pneumatics etc.

 Role & Responsibilities:

• Concept design through to production output
• Producing detailed manufacturing drawings
• Working across technical disciplines
• Performing stress analysis
• Production support as required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Solidworks experience is preferred
• HNC or Degree Qualified
• Experience designing complex products
• Ability to work under pressure to time constraints
• Previous work experience in the automated packaging environment
• Knowledge of electrical & pneumatic design

Knowledge of Liquid Filling & capping machines
