General Factory Assistant

Location: Crayford

Salary: £23,296.46 per year. Increases after probation.

Hours: Monday – Thursday 07:00 – 16:00 (30-minute Lunch) Friday 07:00 – 11:15 am.

Job type: 3- month contract! Potential to go permanent after.

Responsibilities of the General Factory Assistant:

Undertaking reactive tasks in all areas of the production process to high quality standards including basic assembly work from a drawing, drilling (metal work), be able to tap (metal work), use of a saw, able to sandblast, helping with packing & picking, paint prepping or keeping the outside area clean and tidy.

Requirements of the General Factory Assistant:

• You must be able to take instruction, not only from your direct manager but related authority levels in order to get the job done.
• Ability to build good rapport with all departments.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• You must be able to work on your own initiative.
• Standing and/or walking for long periods of time.
• Lifting and moving products up to 15kg in weight
• Lifting bending, reaching over head, kneeling, crouching, and/or stretching throughout shift.
• The ability to read manufacturing general assembly drawings.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.
• Clean driving licence would be preferred but not essential.
• Forklift licence would be preferred but not essential.
